City Awarded Environment Impact Bond

green-infrastructure

The city of Atlanta recently became the first municipality in the country to be awarded a publicly-offered Environmental Impact Bond (EIB) for green infrastructure projects. The bond will help support eight infrastructure projects within the area. These eight projects were developed to help improve the waste and stormwater management and reduce the strain on the current infrastructure and sewer system.

An EIB is an innovative financing tool that uses a Pay for Success (PFS) approach to provide up-front capital for environmental programs, either to pilot a new approach whose performance is viewed as uncertain or to scale up a solution that has been tested on a small scale. In its most basic form, private investors participating in a PFS model pay the upfront costs for deploying these environmental solutions.

With the upcoming rain and storm season approaching, it’s important that municipalities know their options for infrastructure repairs before it’s too late. Perma-Liner™ Industries is the leading manufacturer of trenchless pipeline rehabilitation equipment and materials in North America. Our experience in the CIPP industry has allowed us to design, patent and manufacture state of the art technology in order for us to repair structures without excavation.

CIPP is a method for restoring older pipelines with minimal digging in streets and on adjacent property. A piece of durable lining is installed inside the old pipe. It is a safe and environmentally sound solution to replace and repair aging pipes.

Attention all Atlanta and Georgia residents and installers, Perma-Liner™ Industries has an event for you to attend! Everyone is invited to our LIVE DEMO April 25 – 26 in our New Castle, Delaware facility. Click here to register and find out more. You can expect to have our knowledgeable staff on hand demonstrating to you the latest CIPP technology. We hope to see you there!
